The Airplane Diner, located along Pritham Avenue in Greenville, was erected during the mid 1930's. A popular spot, the diner was in business until the war years, when it became difficult to obtain the necessary food items to remain in business. The diner's wings were removed and the unit relocated nearer to the lake, where it served as a cottage until it finally deteriorated and was torn down.
